Psiclone Moves To Italy

Psiclone Games Ltd are pleased to have been chosen by Inspired Gaming Group as one of only 2 external suppliers to support Inspired’s entry into the new Italian Comma6b market.

Psiclones unique game engine gives them the ability to make a single game interact with many different platforms and this coupled with their rapid and flexible development cycle and many years of experience working with Inspired made them the ideal candidate.

Several of Psiclones range of successful UK category B3 games such as ‘Snakes, Ladders & Cash Adders’ which is still going strong a year after release and ‘Escape the Rat Race’ which (just like its predecessor Snakes) jumped straight to a top quartile position when launched on William Hill’s LBO estate will be converted to the new market.

Sean Bastick, director of Psiclone said “We are happy to be moving into the Italian market and exploring the new opportunities that it presents. We have a proven track record of creating quality content on Inspired’s terminals and we are confident this will be a successful venture.”

Italy Goes Live

After exhaustive testing and plenty of governmental inspection Inspired Gaming Group’s Italian Comma6b platform goes live and with it Psiclone’s Snakes & Ladders Game.

This is the first and only game to have a live progressive jackpot in Italy under the new Comma6b regulations. This puts Psiclone at the forefront of the new gaming experiencein Italy. Addendum since going live the game has paid a great many jackpots, some over €250,000.

Psiclone whips up a storm at Gala Bingo

Psiclone Games Ltd have successfully released their Snakes, Ladders & Cash Adders Category B3 game on to Gala Bingo’s ‘Wizard’ terminals running on the Gala Gaming Platform. The game, already successful in the LBO space, has blown away its competition on the platform and generated significant new income uplifting the overall take from the Wizard terminals.

Following its runaway success Gala and Psiclone have collaborated to produce a special tournament version of the game just for Gala Wizard players.

Psiclone expands despite recession

Despite the global recession, demand for Psiclone Games products and services is getting stronger all the time. Following on from successful London IGE & ATEI shows, in contrast to many other companies Psiclone has been recruiting and has recently further increased the size of both its art and programming departments. This will enable Psiclone to increase its output, expand its customer base and further enhance its already recognised high standards.

One of the new art departments first tasks is to revamp the company website www.psiclonegames.co.uk to reflect the new exiting products Psiclone have in store for 2009.

Director Sean Bastick commented: “Our strategy of keeping a small team of quality staff worked well for us in 2008. With a greater workload forecast for 2009 we feel the time is right to slowly expand whilst sticking to our small team policy“.

Success in 2008

July saw Psiclone Games renews development contract with Inspired Gaming Group for a second year. In September Psiclone’s new “Snakes, Ladders & Cash Adders” Category B3 game goes live on INGG’s OpenSBG platform immediately reaching a top quartile position.

Finally in October a selection of Psiclone’s games content was shown on the Gemini Games Stand at the Preview Show. The games, including both Category B3 and High Tech Category C versions of the increasingly strong “Snakes, Ladders & Cash Adders” branded games were shown in Gemini’s new low cost rebuild cabinet as both stand alone and multi game options.

Psiclone Games Limited Formed

Mike Fox and Sean Bastick formed Psiclone Games when their previous employer, Eclipse Gaming, collapsed. They took on key staff from Eclipse and set out to create a small but high quality UK gaming development house using their already considerable experience in the industry.

The company started well with an almost immediate signing of a 1 year development contract with the Inspired Gaming Group and has been moving upwards ever since.
